Let the fun (????) begin...

Well, I've spent the last couple of days in my classroom getting ready for another year. I seriously can't believe that it's just around the corner (tear). If you're a teacher, you know what kind of preparation it takes to get ready for the first day of school. It can be a little overwhelming if you wait until the last minute. I've never been much of a procrastinator-I like to have plenty of time to get organized and not feel rushed. I'm quite proud of the amount I've accomplished in just 2 days. Here are some pics I took today to help you better understand what a 2nd grade classroom looks like! :) More to come when my classroom is complete!

I'm loving the room! I did not get to work in mine today; however, I will go back very soon. I also love the new batch of students and the black background. I never thought to do that.

good thing I still don't know which school I'm in, much less which classroom. Ah, preparation. Such a dream. Here's a shocker--if I'm at Kingston, and it looks like I am, I've got 7th AND 8th grade English. Holy smokes! Someone call the paramedics!

When you get through with your room, PLEASE come help me with mine? The one they are giving me used to be a storage room and it still has so much crap in it. Talk about stressed. This first year teacher could use some experienced help!

Why didn't you take a picture of the reading nook? with the tree house?

It is really cute.
you are a cute teacher. If I had a 2nd grader (let's all be thankful that I do not) I would want you to be their teacher.

PS - why didn't you include a few of the, umm... interesting names?

the room looks cute. i bet it makes my mom want to puke.

I also like how there is a spoon in the batter. You've always been good at stirring things, you know.

It doesn't really feel like you and Claire are real teachers until I see your classrooms.

What's the behavior chart? Does Max have one?

How come you are so cute and I am not? I used to think I wanted to be a teacher, but I could never do that kind of stuff.

AK, you are the cutest. love the room.
