If you're at all familiar with the Rick and Bubba radio show, then I'm sure you heard about the unfortunate accident that happened recently. Rick Burgess' youngest son drowned last weekend in their swimming pool. I simply CANNOT IMAGINE. Any tragedy like this is horrible, but for some reason, this particular story has really hit me hard. A friend of mine from school told me about Rick speaking at his son's funeral. Once again, I CANNOT IMAGINE. She told me that it was one of the most powerful messages she'd ever heard. I was hesitant about listening to it, but I'm so glad I did!
I found it on Youtube a little while ago. It's in 3 different parts, and I'm posting all of them here. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO TAKE A LITTLE TIME AND WATCH. I'm so glad I did.

Uhhh, thank you for posting this Laura...yes, I had heard about this b/c we used to 'off and on' listen to this radio station last year when we lived in AL. I can not imagine either--but watched all of the videos and then the tribute video (bawling while holding Walker). Makes you really want to go spread the good news of Jesus! pretty amazing, huh. jimmy was at the funeral and said it was absolutely astounding. that sermon/message/event/video is supposedly in the top 7 or 8 google searches right now. Incredible.
