I need help (AGAIN)!

First of all, thanks for the watch advice some of you shared last week. I looked at each site that was recommended to me, and found several that I liked. I ended up getting a great deal on an Anne Klein watch at STEIN MART last weekend when I was in Hattiesburg. I'm totally liking it. I would NORMALLY post a pic of it, but I'm having fights issues with my camera right now(there is nothing worse than being camera-less. Agree?). This leads me to the first thing with which I need help...
I charge my camera by taking the camera battery out of the camera and using the charger that came with the camera when I purchased it. Easy, right? Well, here's the problem. When I tried to charge it the other day, the light on the charger, which normally is red when charging, was blinking red instead. Does this mean there's a problem with the CHARGER or with the BATTERY? I'm thinking that it may be the battery, but aren't those things like $40? I do not want to spend money on it if that's not the problem. I also don't want to go buy a brand new battery charger, just to find out that it's the actual battery causing the problem. Get it? Any camera experts out there who can help me out with this one?
Secondly. I want to clean my couch...like really clean it. It's ultra-suede, an should be fairly easy to clean, but I just don't really what to use on it. Any suggestions?
I sometimes wonder what I would do without my blog readers. Seriously.

It depends on the camera. If you don't have the instructions (I wouldn't expect you to) go online and look for a manual. If you can't find it, look for a company tech support e-mail address and ask them. Whether it's the battery or the charger, you can probably get one cheaper on E-Bay than the manufacturer.

I agree with Sam....I would go online and look for an online manual for your camera!!!

As far as the couch cleaner, I have been wondering that myself. I have a suede couch and it is in need of a good cleaning! Hope you get some feedback so I can benefit too!!! ha~

im not sure on the blinking light, but i agree with the other comments. your best bet is to look online for manual if you dont have yours still (for some reason, knowing you, i feel like you have a drawer somewhere with ALL of your instruction books, no?)

one tip on the battery for the future that i learned from a real deal photog... when charging battery, don't let it sit in the charger after the green light comes on (as in, plug it in before bed and leave it til morning). apparently, this can make the life of the battery shorter =(

good luck!
and i have NO tips on the suede couch!

I had the same problem with my camera and I went to Best Buy and asked one of the sales people. They were really helpful. Also, if you buy the charger or battery there and that doesn't fix it, you can take it back even if it is opened. About the couch, I had the same problem and I bought a Bissell Hand Steam Vac (they are the cheapest on amazon and overstock). They work wonders on any upholstery and rugs.

I've read your blog a few times but never commented. I think I came across it from Jenny Holloway's blog. ANYWAY, I have read that to clean upholstery, you can buy Woolite Foam in a can, spray it on, let it dry, then vacuum it up. I haven't tried it yet, but a lot of people online at various sources say it works!!
