Pumpkin Palooza, a baby shower, and 6-0!

I love football season. I do. But I somehow forget how exhausting it is! I've just realized that during football season, my weekends are not spent relaxing, but rather cheering on my bulldogs (and attending games that don't kick off until 8 PM!). I wouldn't have it any other way.
Friday night was Pumpkin Palooza in downtown Starkville. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are able to fit in the small town of Starkville whenever there's a big event. I love it.
Saturday was the MSU vs UT game, and before the game, I was able to co-host a baby shower for sweet Alexa, who's expecting a baby boy at the end of November! Such a fun time.
So excited about my dawgs being 6-0, and I'm hoping we'll make it 7-0 this weekend. (And then the following weekend we play Alabama, and well... uh...that could get interesting).
Hoping you had as much fun as I did this weekend, but perhaps a little more sleep than me?!

Yes, please.

So, I'm now a Pinterest addict.  Did I need a new technological addiction?  Absolutely not.
Am I loving it?  Most definitely.
While doing some "pinning" earlier, I noticed this recipe.
Conveniently, I love candy corn, oreos, pretzels and white chocolate, so I will most definitely be acting like I'm going to make it for somebody else, but I'm really just going to eat it all myself  making this soon! YUM!
Happy, happy fall!

Wish List Wednesday

Now, we all know that nothing beats my dear friend MSKS's "Wish List Wednesdays," (I look forward to hers every week....don't you?) but I've been doing a little wishing myself on this Wednesday, so I thought I'd share.
I wish...
1. ...that every week was a 4 day work week.  I'm grateful for mine this week!

2. ...that I could pull off being a redhead.  I've wanted red hair for as long as I can remember!
What do you think?

Hmmmmm....perhaps I should stick to being a brunette....
(Click here to try hair styles on you!)
3. ...that college football was on every Saturday!  (Speaking of....is anybody else excited about these?)

4....that I had the time (and patience) to create something like these for Halloween!  My 2nd graders would love them!

5....that I could pull off these headbands!  I've tried several on multiple times at DSP, but I just can't do it.

6. ...that I could sing--like really really sing.  Unfortunately, I'm hoarse about half of the time, so singing is sort of out of the question for me.  I'd probably choose to sing like Adele..or Sara Groves...or Patty Griffin...and oh how I love Carrie Underwood's voice too!

7. ...that I was going to a Halloween costume party this year.  I would most definitely want to wear this

What are you wishing for this Wednesday?

Weeeeeeee're OFF to see the wizard!

Kristen, aka "Glinda the Good Witch"
Heather, aka "The Scarecrow"
Henry, aka "The Tin Man"
Jones, aka "The Cowardly Lion"
Noelle Adams, aka "Dorothy"

Pretty stinking cute, huh?

I wasn't really invited to dress up with the fam, but I'm thinking I would've made a fantastic witch!
Don't you think?

What are you and your family dressing up like on Halloween?  I love a good costume idea, so please share!

Halloween, tailgating, and 7-2!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I enjoyed being with my both of my boys on this fun holiday! Henry was Shrek:

(with his friend Camp!)
....and Jones was an adorable snail...(with Grandaddy!)

So fun....
ALSO, this weekend marked MSU's 7th win (6th STRAIGHT!)!
Who else is proud to be a bulldog???

Tailgating pics...
with the sisters...

...Candy...
...Mims...... Jake and Ashley...As much as I love tailgating, it can be a little stressful because there are always tons of people I want to see! I was happy to see lots of my friends, but sad I wasn't able to see others who were in town for the game.
Here are a couple more pics of the boys from the weeked that I had to share.

Fun weekend in Gulfport!

I'm so glad I decided to spend a nice long weekend in Gulfport with Heather and Trey! Even though Heather didn't know where she was going half of the time, we still had a great time! :)
A few highlights from the weekend:
  • a bulldog victory! Heather and I were so proud to see our dawgs win! Almost equally exciting was this interview with Anthony Dixon. Gotta love him.

  • I got to see TWO of my dear friends from college! Unfortunately my time with sweet Kelli (Darnell) McGuffee was so short, I didn't get a chance to snap a pic of the 2 of us, but I was able to have lunch with my college roommate, Morgan, and insisted on getting a pic of us! Morgan and I lived together in McKee Hall our sophomore year, and and in the KD house together our junior year. Ilove that girl! Morgan is getting married in a few weeks and it was really special to have a little time with her before then!

  • Oh! I also got about half of my Christmas shopping done while I was there! GO me!
My parents went to see Henry in Clinton so they could see him on Halloween. They took him trick-or-treating, where they just happened to to run into my friend Heather and her husband Tom, who were at a Halloween party close by! Although I was a little jealous that I wasn't there for this cute photo op, I was glad that they thought to take a pic of them together! :) SO cute.
Even though this is only a 4 day week for me, it's still past my bedtime. Good night to you all!
Oh, and by the way, am I the only person who's itching to put up my Christmas decorations? I'm just wondering....

Happy Halloween!
Love, Laura ("Little Red Riding Hood") and Max (my "little devil" who totally needs a hair cut and refused to cooperate for this picture!). :)

Happy Halloween!!

Can you tell I'm having fun with Shutterfly? :)
Happy Halloween!
Here are a couple of pictures of me and my friend Heather at school today. My Halloween attire simply consisted of a $5 shirt from Target with "BOO" written in black, orange shoes (it's ok to be jealous, Candy), an orange bracelet, and some black accessories.
Heather was another story. I only wish you could see a full body shot of her outfit. Picture, if you will, black and orange striped tights, tall black shoes, fun jewelry and a cute little bat headband. She looked adorable and the kids loved her.
I'm trying to convince her to start a blog, but so far I've been unsuccessful. I don't plan on giving up though.
On another note, I saw a Christmas commercial on TV yesterday. I'm pumped. I plan on breaking out the Christmas music next week.
Get excited!!
